Sarina Bowen is the first one to launch the Hush Note series with Lies & Lullabies.  I already want to discover the other stories because I am sure I will enjoy them too. We have here a small town romance as I like them with two characters evolving in two different universes but who could well share a beautiful life moment

Kira Cassidy has always lived in this small town in Maine, in Nest Lake. There are good and bad memories. One night will definitely change her destiny but she will know how to face this ordeal thanks to the unwavering help of her brother Adam. The latter helped her at a decisive moment when their father never ceased to be obnoxious and when people had easy judgment against her. I liked this character because she is devoted to those she loves and her relationship with her brother is really a great one. She is a young woman who must have matured very early on and who had to make a choice that could cost her dearly. She didn't live happy moments but once again, she was able to move forward and face the issues. She is not someone who is easily brought down and who is really thoughtful. It must be said that in the equation, we must take into account Vivi who I looved so muuch. She is so easy going and I loved her scenes because she puts a smile on your lips. When her past threatens to suddenly reappear, she will have to open up on issues that annoyed her. How will she be able to integrate this new factor into her life?

At 30, Jonas Smith is one of the members of the Hush Note band. They have success, fame, girls and are always on the road. This fame and this flowing money should fill him with happiness, but it won't. We feel at home and his passion for music is very present but that he lacks an essential element. Fortunately their band is managed by our hero's friend and I liked Ethan who will be right in his shoes and who will always have the well-being of his friends in mind. He doesn't see the money but the link he has with them. Nixon, the guitarist will be an interesting character to discover later and I want to dig deeper to discover his flaws. Quinn will be the heroine of the next tome and I am also curious to learn more about her because this book does not necessarily give her a very good image even if it is a young woman who will stick out her claws to defend her friend . Jonas knew how to take advantage of his rock star status but we feel that he wants to build something more sustainable. It is obvious that he will do everything to be this trustworthy man , but will his current life be compatible with the new twists and turns of his love life?

To recap, I had a great time with this romance set in the music world. Sarina Bowen offers us a smooth  and sweet first book which lays the foundations for a book series that we will love to discover. All the ingredients are there to melt our hearts and it will indeed .
